I don’t think they’re altruistic, I think they’re being pushed by the perverse incentives of capitalism to their own extinction.
In order for them to use AI to enslave everyone else they would have to be able to stop its progression at some point… and capitalism won’t allow them to stop.

The wealth held by the capitalists elites is in stocks, bonds and fiat currency… What happens to their “wealth” without the participation of regular people? It becomes worthless.

In my mind, Disney has become notorious for having all of the pieces for a great movie in its hands and then reliably failing to put them together in the correct order, over and over again.

The difference is Netflix actually releases extremely high-quality new content on a regular basis, Disney+ does not. Sooo… sounds good to me, I’m in!

That was my first thought as well. I’m pretty sure the excess of radiation in space is a major concern for astronauts.
If he can find a way to use vacuum to cool a computer, if you run his invention backwards, it would probably draw energy out of vacuum which would be better.
