definitely thought this after club brugges game

loved the result, but thought we looked vulnerable defensively + 3 goals scored was flattering to our attacking output

my frustration is that so much of the criticism is divorced from what’s actually happening on the field

& devolves into neville chatgpt (players are lazy/arrogant/cowardly)
January 19, 2026 at 5:24 AM
thought both the eye test & #’s (xg + tilt) were pretty flattering to arsenal vs a team that’s been better than avg at home 🤷‍♂️
January 18, 2026 at 7:00 PM
“not at their best”?

arsenal were significantly better than forest (w/out saka in the XI!)

can’t wrap my head around how a comprehensive performance like that equates to downing tools 😂
January 18, 2026 at 6:29 PM
…but we played well. in a tough away fixture

idk how you could watch yesterday & think the issue is “mustering energy”
January 18, 2026 at 3:31 PM
we all know what’s at stake

but I literally can’t think of a summary for yesterday other than “arsenal were pretty unlucky” 🤷‍♂️
January 18, 2026 at 3:21 PM
would love to see a p4 salary cap

i’m a major proponent of nil + portal

…but current system turns every roster outside of like 5 super rich schools into a supermarket
January 12, 2026 at 7:44 PM
yea

similar to cuesta: staff at well-run clubs are going to be in demand
January 12, 2026 at 6:57 PM
obvs disappointing results

but barca/madrid seem like genuinely impossible jobs because of backbiting
January 12, 2026 at 6:56 PM
think it’s an example of end product (xg) not reflecting chance quality

vs bournemouth, cutbacks from the byline lead to tap ins… vs liverpool, those same chances rolled harmlessly through the box
January 9, 2026 at 3:30 PM
1. we dominated 1st half. couldn’t believe the space saka had

2. frimpong was an equalizing factor. threat + held ball up w/ minimal help. esp after hincapie went off

3. kerkez did a nice job defending saka in 2nd half

4. worrying how quiet eze has been since spurs game
January 9, 2026 at 5:10 AM
because gyokeres has been genuinely bad

… & I was optimistic that he be a quality rotation player for us
December 29, 2025 at 9:01 PM
berta deserves to answer for any & all of the decisions we make

I just think the striker choice was much more limited than fan discourse would have u believe (watkins, dcl, maybe woltemade, probably not sesko)
December 29, 2025 at 8:49 PM
this is the key point tho

the market was *brutal* & pretending otherwise invalidates a lot of gyokeres criticism
December 29, 2025 at 8:44 PM
1. I’m disappointed w/ gyokeres

2. genuinely don’t think there was a better option

the only one of these guys that seemed available to us was woltemade. & it’s tough to be critical about not paying an exorbitant fee for a relatively unproven player
December 29, 2025 at 8:34 PM
similar to mustafi- powerful north/south runner, but clumsy in tight spaces
December 29, 2025 at 8:20 PM
biggest issue w/ gyok-

he’s bad in the air

makes it tough to add value as a low touch finisher
December 29, 2025 at 2:45 AM
no offense, but comparing this team to wenger’s is a complete non sequitur
December 27, 2025 at 11:47 PM
“win ugly” is one I’d push back on

game vs brugges was one our worst performances, yet the scoreline was pretty. wolves= ugly scoreline + preformance

today + everton + palace all good performances obscured by a close scoreline
December 27, 2025 at 5:33 PM
thought this was a case of brighton having enough quality to make defending a lead very unfun
December 27, 2025 at 5:29 PM
probably go edge, rt, linebacker first three rd’s
December 26, 2025 at 10:50 PM
amen

btw-that performance tracker for gyok is a really insightful feature. great work 👏
December 15, 2025 at 6:56 PM
4 sure

I just recognize that he’s a satellite player, & mirror (good or bad) how the rest of the team is playing (today bad)
December 15, 2025 at 6:40 PM
1. should be able to breeze by wolves regardless of XI

2. thought white injury derailed us

combining well w/ saka, pulling defenders away from eze… sub lead to us reshuffling an already overshuffled lineup
December 15, 2025 at 6:36 PM
I get frustration when an attacker is invisible,

but lack of service feels like a fair excuse in this one
