Basics that are just out of reach for so many people in these desperately unequal times.

Thank you so much for just helping a handful of strangers breathe a bit easier this week. Your pounds go such a long way.

With our love and gratitude as always

We have made a donation towards their important and life saving work.

Very much a week of helping people with the absolute basics, basics that some of us are lucky enough to take for granted- a working toilet, beds for our children, carpets on the floors, enough to feed our families and stay warm.

5 J, who does so much to support vulnerable people in her community, has approached us about funds to provide a desperately needed new toilet for S, who is 80 year old and lives alone after losing her husband last year.

4 A is supporting a client who has been homeless and sleeping rough in Suffolk for a few weeks now. A found a shared house with a room for her, but a holding deposit is required in order for her to be able to move in. We can provide this, and hope that she will be warm and safe in her new place.

Though she's managed in the interim to keep afloat, pay bills and feed her children, her financial situation is becoming increasingly urgent, especially with Christmas coming up. Her nominator J says that a contribution from us will make a huge difference to her as she waits to start her new job.

Despite her commitment to the role and her attempts to resolve the issue, she left still owed the money, but because the company she worked for are still solvent, she isn’t entitled to any government help. She has secured a new job but can’t start until her DBS checks etc come through.

which subsequently got clamped, leaving him unable to take up various job opportunities that have come his way. He feels as though he’s in a horrible Catch 22 and is incredibly stressed.
A has asked if we can step in as he has 30p to his name at the moment.
Done and sent with love.

They have been amazing, but like all similar charities, they are finding it hard to meet the need right now, and we felt that it would be a lovely gesture to keep the flow of kindness moving as they have shown such support to P on our behalf.
