I've heard the same for period cramps, but never tried it. Thankfully, my periods are pretty light (when I get them lol), so I've never had much a chance to try it.
And do try it! It works for me, and a couple folks I know, but that could be inconsistent.

Combined with the fact that red states tend not to be very red naturally (by percentage of voters who pick a party, Texas, the big red state, is more blue than California, the big blue state). Instead relying on making voting more difficult (which I suspect is what the feds are thinking of).

And the third assumption is fair elections (Insofar as FPTP is fair). Now, conspiracy theories run wild with this, so I won't go into detail, but based on current attempts to change how voting is done (by the fed level, which isn't constitutionally allowed) could artificially sway votes.

This kinda sorta scales up, but not quite. Since instead of needing 50% to win you need 50% +1. So it does get worse when scaling higher, but not by that much. Even with 10 million people districts, 10 districts, it's still 5 with a remainder.

A model of what I'm talking about: Assume a 10 district state with pop. 1000. 100 people per district, 51 to win. 300 idiot floor. 300/51=~5.88. Or 5 remainder 45. Half of districts. And the potential to flip another, if 6 votes flip/11 don't bother.

The second is the "idiot floor" Basically, no matter how bad things are, roughly 30% (estimate I remember from somewhere). I actually think it's lower, but I'll get to that.
Anyway, with 30% approval, and perfect redistricting, ~50% of districts will go in their favor (math incoming)

Now, of course this makes many assumptions. The obvious one is that the backlash we're seeing to the ice BS actually materializes at the ballot box. Bcuz R's will complain about R leaders, but still vote for them. Dumb, I know, but alas.
