It's great. We left the UK ( another Banana Republic) for France and have no regrets whatsoever. Yes rates are high - but in exchange you have good infrastructure, health services and a population that will demand 'heads to roll' if necessary

Stout is a little too bitter fir my taste
Guinness just goes nicely with beef. I use it a lot when cooking beef cheeks...

Try a can of Guinness and a piece of star anise instead of wine...

Lucky you. I some of the same breed and they nearly attack me when I come with the 'treat bucket'. Killing machines of spaghetti.
