Of course, hence my use of quotations. GitHub was tainted the moment Microsoft took it over, so this news didn't amount to much to me. Except perhaps accelerated enshittification of GitHub.

Probably the news that GitHub is now becoming part of MS’ CoreAI team following the resignation of the GitHub CEO, so will no longer be “independent”.

Well I have only had it for a couple of weeks but it works well for me so far. But then again my requirements are simply step counting and no need for constant charging. The Bluetooth connectivity with time sync is a bonus.

No I mean literally mean a DW5600 with step counting, none of the other smart watch frills, doesn’t need to be constantly charged, powered by a coin battery.

Picked up one of those earlier this week. Just a simple retro Casio with a step counter and Bluetooth sync to keep the time accurate. No notifications and constant recharging. Would have liked DW5600 GShock with a step counter, unfortunately no such thing exists.
