Ahh that's fair - it's a shame she couldn't stay like how Lopez and Harper did but completely understandable. Filling her shoes though must be really difficult and I can't blame the writers for skirting around the topic tbh

That's true and I think they just sidelined him tbh and we haven't really seen him. I guess also it's really hard to fill an actual character into the role after Anderson she was honestly the best.
As a man - maybe I don't have a voice here but - what an awesome and empowering woman/role she played
February 15, 2026 at 12:34 AM
That's fair and yea maybe he will, I think he would be a good captain and also like a good succession the series - they haven't really addressed or naked a captain since Anderson tbh

He was so good, I found it a bit weird how they brushed him retiring under the rug and then moved him to the FBI ... I hope they make Tim similar a little bit, it was kind of comforting like Grey is gonna call you out but also he has your back, he just expects a lot and Tim does that well I think
February 14, 2026 at 9:54 PM
True true but he did forget that gun in the glove box because "everyone in Texas has one" so maybe there's some room there where he just massively understates his work.
I hope we get more of Grey on the task force though!!
February 14, 2026 at 9:12 PM
That's fair but he did also mention he didn't make it to a domestic violence call on time so maybe they can make something out of that where he is just understating the kind of stuff he did or had to deal with? Or like because of the distance it makes policing work differently than in LA kinda thing
February 14, 2026 at 8:37 PM
Yea who even knows haha.

I mean he mentioned being a cop in Texas, I feel like it has a lot to offer especially if you read Western were it's often about one person against a group of bad guys - I think there's just a lot of open potential there without too much expectations of a story
February 14, 2026 at 5:34 PM
No they really do I mean it's a show but like ... Running spec ops in another country, fighting gangs in a building .. it's a bit much but it's also really entertaining so a Metro show would fill in that niche especially with entirely new characters.
I wouldn't mind a Penn in Texas spinoff though 🤔
February 14, 2026 at 5:14 PM
You're right and Metro does more high stakes stuff so there could be a ton of stuff there.
And that's also a good idea and they could really lean into making it more of a comedy considering it's Smitty lol or lean into Smitty finding ways to be a slacker as well
February 14, 2026 at 3:24 PM
Honestly yea this would be good and they could split things out based on some character groupings like I wouldn't mind a show about Lopez and Harper doing detective stuff or Tim dealing with being a watch commander or things like that where it's not necessary to watch but also lots of fun to see
February 14, 2026 at 3:21 AM
That's fair and I hope it does well, the show has a really good formula!
February 14, 2026 at 3:00 AM
I think S1 and S2 were good because they felt real and believable and there was lots of growth and I think any spinoff should capitalize on that
February 14, 2026 at 2:43 AM
I have yet to hear a good thing about Feds although I should watch it at some point - I just don't think the story was believable or good and that's why it failed so badly
February 14, 2026 at 2:43 AM
I hope so too - they have a really good supporting cast tbh
February 14, 2026 at 2:30 AM
That's fair buuuttt she had potential and Tim being annoyed is always funny (especially when he cares but acts like he doesn't). But yea I hope she has more tie-ins into the show but in line with what you said, not as a rookie.
Dylan Conrique is a great actor for the role though she's so good!
February 14, 2026 at 1:58 AM
No I don't think they did, just that she was moving in with friends. But tbh I don't think they've shown her former apartment so maybe they are preserving the art in her room for the future? Also I thought the art was cool I wish I could do something like that in my room
February 14, 2026 at 1:54 AM
Oh my god Tamara I hope they incorporate her into the story overall she's such a great side character - she's one of those characters where we get her in generally small segments but they're always sooo good lol she would be great at annoying Tim tbh lol
February 14, 2026 at 1:45 AM
Yea exactly he could have had more help, I hope we get more development on that front especially because they could have written him off but didn't when Penn went to talk with him so I hope we get him back in an interesting way
February 14, 2026 at 1:08 AM
Yea it was so much like yea he put Chen and Bradford in danger but also ... How was he supposed to manage especially as a rookie in an emergency situation? If anything it should have been someone competent and experienced who could stay calm under pressure - not a rookie.
He still sucks but still...
February 13, 2026 at 9:49 PM
I feel like Seth has a lot of potential as a character - I just don't see him coming back as a cop. They do need to investigate him messing up during the wildfire episode (although asking a rookie to manage all that is ridiculous imo).
We need a side character episode though with Smitty and others!!
February 13, 2026 at 8:37 PM
Lmao yea agreed ... I feel like they were going somewhere with Penn talking to Seth so I wonder if they will incorporate more of that into the rest of the season. It feels like we have several potential story lines so I'm hoping they don't just drop any randomly tbh
February 13, 2026 at 7:39 PM
I hope so too although I think he will only show up in FBI related stuff now.
But yesss I would love to see more interactions between them, both of them are my favorite "not original rookie cast" rookies because they have strong personalities and so much charisma
February 13, 2026 at 7:30 PM
That's a great idea and I hope that happens - Aaron is one of my favorites but you are right. It would be cool if we got several episodes of street level work re-catching people and following leads (like S1/S2)
February 13, 2026 at 7:15 PM
Honestly we haven't actually seen much of Nolan building things - I wouldn't mind an episode or two episodes of Nolan building a temporary HQ and then a whole bunch of drama and silly mistakes around it.
Although I can see Smitty trying to take over the kitchen at his house ...
