I'll go against the consensus on the Breckterfield hire:
His line at Baylor was atrocious, just as bad as ours was comparatively to talent. He was able to recruit and portal well this past year, but had issues doing so at previous schools.

Hearing that Shephard won't start till at least after the SEC Title, possibly even all the eay through the playoffs if Alabama gets in. Is that true? Thought he was supposed to start this week.

For those worrying about the recruiting/developing jump down from Washington and Bama, don't discount his time at Purdue.
Relative is a Purdue fan and I got roped into watching Rondale Moore and David Bell terrorize ranked Ohio State teams. That was Shephard.

I am all for Shephard, but I will defend a dumb thing I see argued against Vigen
Why would the transfer delay be that bad if he holds till after the playoffs?
He's a head coach. He will bring his best players TO US. Shephard might attract more elite talent, but Vigen would bring a good floor.

For some of our teams I've become apathetic to transfers out, but I will genuinely cheer when Lake leaves. He deserves so much better than this program.

Season recap: After Dalby left, we promoted Brookins from within. I thought our level of play was solid, but we had very few new contributors this year. We seemed to be carried by the seniors and juniors more often than not. Next season will be Brookins first year of judgement.
