Personally, I am unsure if people can ever fully heal from trauma. I always thought of it as it becoming part of a person, and their history. Like "Kintsugi", but for the soul.

Regarding healing: I find it more interesting, and relatable, if a character does not just become perfectly "healed" of their trauma.
Whether that's repression, coping or relapses back to the trauma.

I feel like the trauma should be plausible, too much at once and the character or story becomes harder to relate to.
You can have a character experience tons of trauma in their lifetime, just not all at once, and not without healing.
