feels like a missed opportunity in YA that we're still lacking in acne rep like... it's not that much harder than freckles and moles and makes a unique design.

and also. it is Very Fun (if mean) to my characters to have them visibly breaking out when they are Going Through My Horrible Plot For Them

pepe is a good friend and also makes some of my favorite comics ever. they are so beautiful and make me so emo. and this is no exception. even if they're stories about funny and lovely animals they are so so so incredibly human. 10000/10 frogs read nocturnal now

Comics schools need to beef up their comics writing and professional practices classes + we urgently need more platforms and journalism to support original graphic novels + more people who know about comics should apply their skills to parts of the publishing industry besides design and editorial.

my hot take is some of y'all need to stop only reading comics. read prose, go to a museum, learn scrimshaw, wtfever. go be an interesting person first because i can TELL when people don't ingest anythiinnggg else but comics

ah yes my favorite part of making comics: squinting at the final exported files making sure i didn't forget tiny accessory #5 or asymmetrical detail #400 on the wrong side of the body
