do you play sport? you might find it brings you more pleasure than worrying about another person's gender identity

before demanding a sample of another person's blood, I would be asking my doctor for a psychiatric evaluation

What a sad day for civilised society.
Imagine - in adulthood - wanting to celebrate denying people access to the toilets.

oh great, we'll get a just outcome for sure. a court stacked with conservatives. what could go wrong?!
July 6, 2025 at 12:44 PM
Haters gonna hate... Giving a teenager a hard time over winning a few games of chess. Seriously, how low can we go?!
July 3, 2025 at 12:16 PM
He should invite Starmer over and they can celebrate together.

good on them. they can sell or not sell whatever they want.

good on her.

As someone who doesn't live in the USA: what is the point of taking a matter to court?
One court makes a ruling, and then a different court effectively overrules the original ruling.
Whenever Trump is involved, it seems the role of the court system is to rubber stamp everything on the trump agenda.

When you think about it, how sad is elite sport; dedicating your life to proving that you're better than everyone else in something and getting upset when someone beats you.
Some of the people flooding Biles' social media with nasty anti-trans messages need to either get some perspective or a life.

one day we'll require a permit for breathing

I think this split could be a blessing in disguise for the Liberals.
Many of the city voters who abandoned the Liberals want sensible energy/climate change policies. The Nationals want nuclear.
Didn't Peter Dutton say he was happy for the election to be a referendum on nuclear?
May 21, 2025 at 12:58 PM
in practical terms, what does this split mean? the nationals and liberals no longer have to pretend to support each others policies?
May 20, 2025 at 3:33 AM
If they truly believed in addressing climate change, why do they need to do a review before being able to commit to net zero before 2050?
May 13, 2025 at 12:20 PM
That's what the Liberals need - another trump lover obsessed with culture wars, who doesn't believe in gender quotas.
May 8, 2025 at 3:08 PM
Hope this doesn't make Labor too confident. I read something about internal Liberal polling suggesting that the result might be tighter than the bookies think.
And who knows what the Coalition still has up their sleeve... Haven't forgotten the children overboard affair.

Why are there so many of these unhinged people running the show in the USA?
So brazen. Who votes for that?!

What a relief that court ruling must've been for this "equalities minister". Now she doesn't even have to pretend to care about trans people.
"Biological women" have their "safe, therapeutic spaces", trans women -they can settle for the "dignity and respect" they'll be shown in the men's toilets.

In the vast majority of lower house seats, the Coalition's how-to-vote leaflets put One Nation candidates in the number 2 position.

I love my friends but I'm not sure I expect them to be as humble or as "moral" as this Pope was.

He probably did more for the poor than all my friends combined will do for the poor in their lifetimes.

What were you expecting from him? Was he supposed to have solved all the Church's problems?

HP can be difficult to avoid. There's this new tv series coming up, endless reruns of the movies, supermarkets love giving away those silly HP figurines, etc. I steer clear of this crap, but young kids might not find it so easy. Sad, because it's not like there's a shortage of similar books around.
April 21, 2025 at 5:52 AM
I hope you're right. So far, it seems like he can get away with almost anything!
April 18, 2025 at 5:33 PM
what do these judges know? just a bunch of privileged nerds with a superiority complex. "we counsel against reading this judgement as a triumph of one or more groups in our society at the expense of another, it is not". whatever. personally, i think they should stick to golf.

Maybe focus on developing some sensible environmental policies before attacking the competition.
