Roy Of The Rovers was a huge thing for me at 13. A weekly football anthology comic. I'd been convinced to leave superheroes behind. That only lasted a few years.

I used to do the opposite route and go to the comics, 2nd hand books and record stalls/shops in the Corn Exchange afterwards.

One of my favourite series. The art is amazing and Wesley and Dian are such great characters. Guy Davis is so underrated as an artist.

Ringo inked by Palmer is the sort of unusual combo that I miss now most art is digital rather than pencils and inks.

NYX was easily my favourite From The Ashes book. Hive Mind books never seem to get the sales, and hence the run they deserve. Captain America, Guardians of The Galaxy, Outsiders and NYX were all great but felt cut far too short.

The original colours look better on the paper it was originally printed on but the new colours look better on modern glossy paper (I prefer the original, especially as that's how I first encountered it)
