I was talking about his whining about the fans. If he had signed here at almost any other time there would have been a bigger spotlight on him from the start and he would’ve already been run out of town by the way he’s played for four years.

I guess I agree with the first part. I think he’s gotten a lot of coin flips wrong but I mostly think it’s hindsight when they just cannot hit the ball for the 15 innings at a time.

I wouldn’t have but I don’t agree with that. Teams bunt in extras all the time to move the ghost runner with the leadoff batter. I just think Stott had a decent chance of moving the runner either way.

Would be curious to hear Schmidt’s take on this after two beers. It’s never been as tough on these guys as it used to be Castellanos has never even been the one who has to answer for it like Harper and Schwarber, even though he’s been the biggest underperformer of them all
