Doesn’t say much, our set pieces have been horrendous. He has never been a dead ball specialist?! How many of his deliveries are soft/high/keeper ?! Can’t understand it , perhaps because he offers little by being in the box or defending

Same! Cant understand it, fuming now so hopefully our emotions are reversed! But I can’t understand how Macca is in ahead of him. CJ our only metronome and controller , and most importantly in better form than grav/macca.

How rare is it we get to make a quick break in transition any more though? Teams playing direct, low blocks, and our counter pressing is non existent. At least we made the most of that opportunity, absolute rarity these days.

I think the frustration this season is more in how he seems to be persisting with a unidirectional style of continuously cutting in and shooting from anywhere. He has struggled to link with kerkez. You will rarely see him recycle with kerkez and actually go wider than him, allowing a kerkez underlap

I’ve been saying this, VVD/ali replacement so difficult, could be 3 years before we challenge again. think Semenyo in Jan a must. To your Q, I dunno if guehi solves anything other than depth. But it says a lot club were willing to break bank for caicedo/zubi & still no signing there. CDM crucial.
