Bush declared 'Mission Accomplished' & Saddam was captured in '03. War persisted 8 more yrs. Capturing Maduro isn't the end of this conflict. It's the beginning.

After 9/11 the Bush Administration at least went through the charade of getting Congress to vote on an authorization bill. It is currently unclear on what authority the Navy is operating in the Caribbean with. The U.S. isn't at war with Venezuela and the Navy lacks law enforcement authority.

34 were convicted by Mueller's Russia investigation. Conservatives call it a hoax so aggressively that moderates concede too much was made it (?). So of course Trump will just claim Hoax again.

Epstein was arrested for sex trafficking. Not for liking teenage girls. Epstein's crimes would have been disgusting even if the girls were 40yr old women.

We'll spend any amount in an attempt to make homeless people go away. We won't spend any amount to attempt to make homelessness go away.

Conservatives decry confederate statues being moved from public squares to museums. Same conservatives don't mind parts of the White House being permanently destroyed.

We need to remember this next time we see crocodile tears about preserving our history.

Yes,in the wealthiest nation on earth everyone who works for a living should be able to live.

As POTUS Trump is representing the U.S. when dealing with international affairs. Not the GOP or himself individually. In that context referencing Obama has no meaning. NATOs interested in mutual security. Not Red vs Blue partisan domestic U.S. Politics.

37 individuals were successfully convicted as a result of the Mueller investigation into Russian interference. Convictions that were fully prosecuted in Court & proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Russian interfered. It is a matter of settled law.

Now, can we get the Epstein files please?
July 26, 2025 at 1:07 PM
During the Mar-a-largo classified documents case Trump argued in court he can declassify anything he wants as President. Separately Trump argued in court that he is immune from prosecution for anything he does as President.
So clearly there isn't anything stopping Trump from releasing the files..

Eric got a $5.5 Billion deal with Qatar, Kushner $2 Billion w/Saudi, Ivanka Trademarks from China, Melania has a meme coin, etc. it is all a grift.

Colbert has a home in South Carolina's District 1. Colbert's House Rep is Nancy Mace.

Now that Colbert is unemployed maybe he'll consider running for office? Colbert can bring more attention and support to the District 1 race than anyone.

This can't be said enough. Politicians should serve everyday members of our communities. Not menace them for headlines.

DeSantis bused migrants to NYC and dumped them on the streets to purposely over burden city infrastructure. Yet Cuomo rather live in FL than have a Mayor who's young and Progressive?

The dog whistle became a bull horn and is now becoming a siren with flashing & flares.
July 19, 2025 at 9:57 PM
During the Mar-a-largo classified documents fiasco Trump argued he could de-classify anything he wanted. So LFG!! Release the files. Stop obfuscating..

ICE formed as part of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 post 9/11. Envisioned to target transnational organizations, w/ a $3B budget. not $160B.

Repeal the Homeland Security Act of 2002. Nothing ICE does can't be done by FBI & CBP. Return TSA & USCG to DOT, save Trillions $s over 10 yrs

The FY26 budget still needs to be passed. It will require Dem votes. Force the GOP to use the money they just passed via reconciliation. Cut all DHS spend for FY26.
July 5, 2025 at 12:24 PM
The BBB gives DHS agencies $168B. DHS's annual budget is $107B. FY26 still must be passed & will require Dem votes. Dems must refuse even $1 for DHS FY26. Daft language authorizing BBB money to fund DHS in FY26.
July 4, 2025 at 12:10 PM
FY25 DHS's budget is $107B. The BBB just gave ICE (a Dept in DHS) $168 billion in extra funds. Dems should vote DHS's budget to zero $ for FY26. ICE could fund all of DHS and would still have $61B left for GOP wish list stuff.
FY26's budget can be filibustered. GOP will need Dems. DHS's FY26 = $0

In '16 the federal debt was $19.5 T. Tea Party GOP rose & made debt the defining fight.
GOP would cry when discussing the debt. If Dems attempted anything, "how are we going to pay".
9 yrs on Total federal debt has ballooned to over $36 Trillion!!!!!
All that additional GOP debt delivered nothing!
July 3, 2025 at 8:34 PM
It's worse than merely not caring. Many Republicans think people who can't privately afford their own healthcare deserve to suffer as a result.

Wow, you guys are crushing lately!
July 1, 2025 at 8:50 PM
The tariffs, rolling back of clean energy subsidies, frivolous media lawsuits, etc hurt rich people too. Anyone who voted for Trump got suckered. Trump is truly only good for himself and his heirs.
July 1, 2025 at 5:22 PM
During the Freedom Rides activists took protests into hostile segregated arees. Not sympathetic places. FL & TX bused folks to blue cities to create a national issue. Let's organize protests in Dallas & Gainesville, not LA. Let's see if tough guy Trump sends troops into Red States!!!
