what I don't get is, are these tools supposed to be able to produce professional ready to release work or are these "ads" tech demos for some "always round the corner" future where the output is perfect, because they can't seem to fucking decide

Second life already existed since 2004, Gaming in general looked 10 quintillion times better, virtual worlds like that just seem like a more niche thing. Anyone with eyes could see it was doomed to fail

in my defense given that kids media has been a lot less edgy over the years as well as the sanitisation of social media I do sorta belive somone (esp somome younger) would say this 😅

"The Green Mile" (1999) would have worked better as a mini series, especially cause the original novel was serialised. "prestige" television wasn't really a thing back then (hilariously it looks and feels like an early acclaimed Netflix series)

there's no such thing as "Logical People" in a sense that humans are a mix of logic and "emotions" thats why we have the law, which provides a guideline. its why "we are only here to look at the facts" is drilled deep into juries

my stories just start as a bunch of random isolated scenes out of order with no context, then I figure out how to connect them, stories are read start to finish but they often aren't written that way

how have your favourite books/media done it? imo the best stories keep the start very simple and tight, if it opens with my protag getting shot at by alein police I only want to know, who is my protag? what have they done in this moment to have these guys chasing them? everything else comes later

Im not sure if "paid" placement means getting paid a wage or just peanuts on top of benefits, the latter is exploitation no matter how you look at it. I'm assuming they've tried to pull that kind of shit before?

its not 100% clear if its being paid a wage or just a small addition to their benefits, whenever they try and pull this shit (Aus is worse than the UK) its insane because something is either a job or its exploitation, it never goes well

The only thing I can think of is finding a space outside the house where you feel like a park or the library, where you can do whatever quietly by yourself, so you can have an excuse to leave the house and "meet up with such and such"
