💯 mate. It’s the lack of consistency that drives me cracked. After every poor decision, we are treated to a video from a previous game in which the opposite conclusion was reached. And it’s not just us thats at the receiving end, just a general blight on our game

Would I return us back to pre-VAR?…absolutely, but it’s daft to say we accepted human error. Referee’s would be unmercilessly ridiculed, abused, derided and we’d pile on them, especially if they were proved wrong by media.
The mistake we made is assuming VAR would rid us of these errors.

In fairness, he was never bought to be a admin but fell into the position after Fabinho’s form fell off a cliff. It’s not his natural position but he made a damn good fist of it last year. If we did buy a dedicated DM we’d be hard pushed to find a role for him.
