Let us reflect: how can we build a love that does not fear the freedom of the Other? The answer lies in accepting vulnerability and respecting the uniqueness of every woman, without seeking to possess her.

Male violence does not strike only the body, but the essence of female freedom. It is a sadistic act that wants to "educate" women to obedience, denying their uniqueness. True love, instead, celebrates otherness.

Female pleasure, "oceanic" and not limited by the phallus, is anarchic and frightens. Men often reduce it to stereotypes ("whore") to exorcise their own inadequacy in the face of this boundless freedom.

Some women, uncertain about what it means to "be a woman," may fall into masochistic dynamics, seeking in men an illusory guide. Violence feeds on this fragility, transforming love into slavery.

Freud spoke of the "refusal of femininity": the difficulty, for men and women, to accept the anarchic freedom of women, which does not bend to universal norms. Every woman is unique, and this frightens.

A powerful example? In “L'Amica geniale” (Elena Ferrante, 2011), the attempt to tear out Lila's tongue is an attack on her freedom. The tongue is a metaphor for voice, identity, and being a woman. Silencing her means subjugating her.

In #patriarchy, women are trapped in stereotypes: mother or sinner, Eve or Mary. Male violence strikes at her freedom, seeking to transform her into a "possessed thing" to exorcise the anguish of otherness.
