Interestingly, the notice said “8 projects were funded totaling $15,283,463”, but only 7 are shown on the website totaling $14,665,086. Where is the extra $618k going? 🤷‍♂️

Oh, wait, no it is official. $14,011,120 (of the $15MM) is being directed to one Trump pet project. Noted this is significantly higher than the $1 million cap in the NOFO (rules🤷‍♂️)

No official announcement has been made, but there’s this entirely plausible, if offensive, story that $14 million (of the $15MM) is going to one project: A caravan of “patriotic buses” for the 250th.

Last year IMLS awarded National Leadership grants for Libraries to 50 projects totaling $13,206,160.

This year, apparently it’s given roughly the same amount to 8 projects.

Confused writing is usually a symptom of confused thinking. As we struggle to clarify writing, we clarify our thoughts. AI writing aids rob us of that struggle, leaving clean-looking text and thoughts still confused for lack of inspection. Writing is not just a product; it is a diagnostic tool.

One check on power wielded by those in office in a democracy is the knowledge they some day will be out of office. One would be reluctant to, say, pursue every minor misstatement on a mortgage app as a felony, if one worried the same tactics would be used against them when they are out of power.

IDK for sure but I expect your access is through your university library & is paid via a subscription operating behind the scenes with IP auth & not free
