A rattlesnake curled up on the ground. It is looking at the camera, and you can see its rattle in the background (not raised). It is very well camouflaged in the dirt, rocks , and dead leaves.

During my visit to LA this year, I saw the ultimate hoarder bird: the Acorn Woodpecker!

In April I visited #losangeles. Gotta say, CA is pretty great for birding! Here is a Red-whiskered Bulbul, which was one of the highlights of my trip!
