War in Ukraine? Hell yea!
Palestine Genocide, why not?
Tax working class. Who else is there?
Austerity and public cuts, how else can we pass tax cuts to the rich and pay for weapons development to sell?

Who says civil servants don't get annual performance reviews, PDCs every 4 months? Such a shit labour government we have. It's just Tory lite.

No structural change, just providing Tory policies dressed as labour.

It's not pandering, it's fulfilling the wants of an electorate

Over the last 40 years nations economies are growing, yet a strange abnormality occurs, living standards and wealth isn't passed down to the middle and working classes?
January 28, 2025 at 4:51 PM
I feel many here are upset at people taking the democratic right to not engage, rather then working out why they didn't vote.

I'm sure if the democrats actually had a spine to challenge the status quo they would get the votes.

Literally what trump said he'd do, even if many of us know he won't
January 28, 2025 at 4:50 PM
Looking at American politics, is like looking at a high school popularity competition, rather than an informed debate based on progress principles and ethics. Which isn't that different to the UK at the moment.

It's focus group and lobbying based politics
January 28, 2025 at 4:37 PM
Calling the people you need to vote 'petty mofos' is not going to help you. Rather understand why they didn't vote and address the issue.
January 28, 2025 at 4:35 PM
Perception of the democrats I believe, was that of continuing the status quo.

If you're under 45, I think Anglo politics has been stagnant for decades. The political parties have been captured by the wealthy and corps.

To blame voters will mean no change within the actual party
January 28, 2025 at 4:27 PM
Your way of thinking plays into, 'the ends justify the means' approach to politics.

Would you rather not be angry at the political party that was offering nothing to make people come out and vote?

Think it's silly to put so much blame on voters
January 28, 2025 at 9:44 AM
Mr Webb what did you tell us? Vote for the party supplying the bombs to Israel or vote for the other guy who will also support sending bombs to Israel.

No!?

Ah I see you want to blame citizens, not the political parties/leadership

Okay, but you'll alienate your own supporters.
January 24, 2025 at 9:19 AM
I think Americans blaming voters voting in a democracy have soo much internal contemplating to do.

Democrats campaigned on a platform of supporting Israel.

The republicans campaigned on a platform of supporting Israel.

Average democrat - it's all someone else's fault, not my party policies
January 24, 2025 at 9:16 AM
Saw a prediction, that over time, American internal issues will see America slowly disengage with its global warring. Once Israel is left alone. It will be held to account like it never has been before.

But the realist in me feels nothing will change. No one will be held accountable.
January 24, 2025 at 9:12 AM
As we learn more, it's apparent many Israeli supporters are so brainwashed with propaganda, the murder of 40,000 means nothing when valuing human life.
January 24, 2025 at 9:05 AM
Reading this thread and watching either democrats or republicans take credit for a ceasefire, both parties armed and gave political cover for Israel to genocide Palestinians.

Does American civil society have any morality left?
January 24, 2025 at 9:01 AM
It's just so sad and I blame labour and the Tories.

They both have undying support for Israel to mass murder
January 24, 2025 at 8:56 AM
How can I explain international law and human rights to youngsters if we continue to undermine it all?
January 14, 2025 at 9:11 AM
I used to believe we have moved past our imperialism thinking, then the UK, and under left leaning governments start wars of intervention or supporting illegal, amoral wars.
January 14, 2025 at 9:10 AM
Reading Trump leaned on Israel is damning indictment of the lack of morals, principles and ethics of the democrats.

It will also be one for labour.

How can the liberal left and socialist labour (that being questionable under Kier) allow genocide?
January 14, 2025 at 9:09 AM
Not a fan of Trump, but he just exposed the democrats as genocide supporters and a democratic leadership that does not value human life.

Incredible times
January 14, 2025 at 8:10 AM
Looks like Gaza and Ukraine
January 9, 2025 at 9:23 AM
It's the fact people felt they couldn't be bothered to vote, is a direct failure of the political parties.
January 8, 2025 at 7:43 PM
Or, when political parties fail. Democrats alienate much of their base. They also appeared to break campaign promises. They didn't offer any real alternatives to the republicans. War, tax breaks for corporations and failure to tackle social issues.

We see the exact same thing in the UK.
January 8, 2025 at 7:43 PM
The issue is not that your solution will fix short term issues. It's once we go down this path of privatisation, will we go back? UK history on such shows a resounding no.

Mail, rail, water, now the NHS?
