I mean if you were american wouldn't you?

I get that I'm american so I'm probably wrong but why wouldn't I want to have faith that my country isn't actually this way?

I want to believe that my fellow citizens aren't truly overwhelmingly evil, I want to believe it's just a dangerous minority
