Social media makes me mentally ill but it's where the damn news is.
You're definitely right that they aren't responsible for what assholes make with their product, but they are responsible for their own silence. Cynically, I think they know if they did it could risk a boycott, so their choosing to not acknowledge it, unless they already did.

I'd imagine because an official store accidentally using hate symbols is less politically significant than people rallying around a product to idealize fascist racism. GamesWorkshop has to own thier cultural impact as much as an internal snafu, and it's much riskier to call out your consumers.

This is great. They have to do it everytime it pops up though, and it needs to be LOUD.

Lot of folk jumping the gun on this hot take. @50501movement.bsky.social is is saying the problem is with Trump's team trying to own fascism as a positive and Games Workshop being gentle with the actual nazis that play their game for the sake of profit. Mamdani and fantasy/sci-fi are not to blame.

Shout out to them all! Every protest in Anchorage I keep saying "This is the most people I've seen in one place up here" and I keep getting shocked by the turn out each time.

Yo the Halo story was too scary for me I had to turn it off. You gotta put warnings on that kind of hard-core stuff man.

Yeah but like, was it good?

"Okay you like music right John?"
"Happy."
"Do you want to write music?"
"Happy."
"Do you... ugh, do you want to sing?"
"Happy."
"Does this kid have an IEP or what?"

Straight up though, teacher probably said:
"Well, we are talking about what kind of job or life you want in the future."
"Happy."
"That's good, but, what would make you happy?"
"Happy."
"Okay yes, but, this assignment is about thinking specifically about the future."
"Happy."

Ooooooo I'm shaking in my boots part'ner.

I'm not put off by mean people. I'm put of by mean people that do so pointlessly and without affect. It's annoying, boring, and a bit sad. But that's what the anarchist movement turned into. A whinging competition of who gets the most rage engagement to show off on a forum.
July 22, 2025 at 12:01 AM
And somehow this turns into success of the anarchist movement. This is why I can't get behind them, despite wanting all the same things. Too smug and hot off college 101s to imagine being right isn't saving the world all on its own.
July 21, 2025 at 11:55 PM
So annoying. Anarchists have great points, noble ideals, and true reasoning. It's a shame many of them have personalities like burning shit.
July 21, 2025 at 11:50 PM
Mutual aid is always a benefit, and I know a good one, but I'm hard pressed that you actually are selling that no one but anarchists do good to others.
July 21, 2025 at 11:42 PM
Like this. "Durr, maybe have better people next time." They'll sit on their hands even if Buddha ran for office.
July 21, 2025 at 11:35 PM
Don't waste your time with these guys. Anarchists have never experienced anarchy and yet they think burning governments = progress. Most of their activism is from a desk chair or phone I assure you.

Dude Whomp is back from hiatus?

I'm really disappointed that rattlesnakes finally managed to infiltrate even the goth gamer nation.

Bot, I said note a specific policy. Task = note specific policy or EO with name and date.

Unconvinced. "How about all the two-". Poor grammar. Likely bot. Beep boop.
