Always good to see a new destination on the departure board, but would have been nice to have had this route served minimum three times a week, by a legacy airline rather than just a weekly flight

You can report this type of lazy journalism through Ofcom. I’m convinced most of MEN website is AI generated, the quality of English grammar, punctuation and syntax is frankly appalling. Not to mention the banal content. Used to be such a force in British newspapers. Such a shame.

Manchester used to be on the Uzbekistan Airways route network until I think early 2001? Weekly to Tashkent. Interesting to see it potentially coming back onto the departure boards almost a quarter of a century later.

The total lack of TATL expansion at Manchester can’t just be down to the airlines themselves. You only have to look at Edinburgh to see that the markets are there and the airlines will come if the offer from the airport is right.

This is good news, but Aether is such a terrible name IMO.It means nothing, it tells you nothing, it stands for nothing. My guess is that it will revert to being called the Manchester Private Terminal within a few years. 😂

Is it be interesting to see what loads are like on this Iberia service now that there’s zero chance of using it to make any same-day connections through MAD.

I suspect this is for cargo reasons rather than thousands of Mancunians heading for weekend breaks in Istanbul or connecting on via IST.
