In this recent Cancer Immunology Research article, the authors show that elevated infiltration of SPP1+ TAMs is related to worse response to immunotherapy and to dysfunction of CD8+ T cells in ccRCC. The data suggest SPP1 as a potential therapeutic target in ccRCC.
