[260] Titli was shot by unidentified assailants in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Pakistan) on 2 Jul 2025.

Her funeral was organised by an LGBT+ community organisation after her family refused to accept her body. #SayHerName #TransLivesMatter #TDoR

It is possible to mold it into a Logseq-ish experience with plugins...

I wish there was an open standard for outliner-based notes. Markdown clearly isn't the right fit.

In this case, I am fine using Obsidian. They've shared their reasoning for not going open source, which is that they are a small team and don't have the resources to manage a large open source project.

If all my notes remain in portable plain text, it doesn't really matter what I use to edit them.

I've been dailying it for years, but am pretty concerned about the direction they are taking with the new version.

It is much harder to have full ownership of your notes if they are
stored in an SQLite db that isn't compatible with any other app.

Karachi's colonial history is being preserved with state funded heritage conservation projects.

Its indigenous history (whatever is left of it) is being demolished and paved over by projects like Bahria Town, ICON Tower, and the Lyari & Malir Expressways.

Meanwhile in Karachi, modernity has re-written the identity of the city so completely that people identify its history with colonial markets and buildings like Saddar and Frere Hall, instead of Lyari and Malir which are as old as the Indus Valley.

Growing up in Lahore, I could feel the city's historical roots in the physical environment around me. In the nehr I drove past every morning going to school, in the giant trees in Lawrence garden, and even in traditions like Basant.

Beyond the tools and art, 100r has also impacted a lot of ppl by fostering community around the values that inform your work. I am one of those people that found community and friends through 100r.
