It is worth noting that Fort Bragg (now Fort Liberty), where Shamsuddin Jabbar and Matthew Livelsberger both served in 2012 has over 52,000 personnel according to Wikipedia.
Given that they didn’t serve in the same or related units means that it is unlikely they knew each other from there

According to his LinkedIn, Matthew Livelsberger lived/was in the Greater Colorado Springs area. It is probable that the FBI/ATF/local PD did a search of his property there.
