Here is one of the best endings in a Looney Tunes short! This is one of the rare times Sylvester and Tweety are friends and this whole short was remade into a Pink Panther short later! From Snow Business (1953)

One of the great things about the Foghorn shorts is the variety especially when it came to what the ‘third character’ was in the Foghorn/Barnyard Dawg dynamic. Here it’s a boxing banty rooster voiced by Sheldon Leonard whom you might know from It’s a Wonderful Life! Sock a Doodle Doo (1952)

While the Coyote did a ‘Batman’ costume bit Sylvester also did the same. To poor results as we see here 😂 It’s also notable that the title itself is a play on the Halloween saying and yet the short has literally NOTHING to do with Halloween. Weird… From Trick or Tweet (1959)

Did you know that Pinto Colvig (the original voice of Goofy) had a falling out with Walt Disney in the late 1930s? As such he did other voice riles at other studios sometimes using this ‘Goofy’ voice. Including this one which is a very early Chuck Jones effort. From Snowman’s Land (1939)

The time the Coyote managed to catch the Road Runner - kind of 😂 I’ve always maintained that the best of Jones’ later work were those few Road Runner shorts he did. From Soup or Sonic (1980) #chuckjones #roadrunner #coyote #looneytunes #animation #warnerbros #classiccartoons #retro #cartoonnetwork

Here is a Bugs and Sam short seldom seen today due to a blackface scene. Thankfully the other parts of this short are great including the ridiculous idea that Sam got his orders from General Lee himself 😂 From Southern Fried Rabbit (1953)

The first appearance of the redesign of Speedy Gonzales appeared in the short of the same name and both director Friz Freleng and writer Warren Foster wisely paired him with Sylvester giving him a wonderful new opponent! From Speedy Gonzales (1955) #looneytunes

Here is a short many may mistake for a Tex Avery effort but it’s actually directed by Friz Freleng! The other directors did their own spot gag shorts with mixed results. But this is a decent one! From Sports Chumpions (1941) #frizfreleng #looneytunes #animation #warnerbros

One of the all time classics! While the title is generic this short is the first of a few that takes place on a stage of some kind with director Friz Freleng doing most of them! Let me know your thoughts on this one! From Stage Door Cartoon (1944) #frizfreleng #bugsbunny #elmerfudd

The ‘original’ Pixar’s Cars! 😂 Ok there have been lots of shorts from various studios with anthropomorphic cars. Including this one which is an early Friz Freleng gem that had the ‘Tex Avery effect‘ where Freleng was making his shorts faster paced. From Streamline Greta Green (1937) #looneytunes

Here is a clip from Bewitched Bunny (1954) with the famous ‘Hansel? Hansel?’ Bit!
