As an added bonus, while I haven't actual checked, I'm guessing it is the first article to appear in the Kipling Journal to discuss zombie movies* and computer games.

*(Yes, yes. I know they are actually infected with a rage virus, and not actually zombies in the classic Romero sense)

It traces the history of Kipling's 1903 poem 'Boots' from it's inception through: a famous 1915 audio recording; its use in US military Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape programs; its appearance in Call of Duty; and its use in the Danny Boyle movie 28 Years Later and its promotional campaign
