Criticism of Israel is not anti-Semitic. Thinking all Jews should tacitly approve of everything the Israeli government does is anti-Semitic.

Israel is a multiparty democracy, which by definition means not all Israelis agree with the government in power.

“Dangerously close to violence” does not a kristallnacht make.

Protesting Israel outside a synagogue is anti-Semitic, but it doesn’t make you a terrorist or a fascist. Using rhetoric like this just makes everything worse.

You should probably get your history from a history book rather than the dictionary.

I agree that protesting Israel by picketing a synagogue is anti-Semitic. I object to the tone of the post.

Correct. Both states did a HORRIBLE job picking leaders who aren’t totally corrupt. But saying so doesn’t make me an anti-Semite.

A protest outside a synagogue is nothing even faintly like Kristallnacht. Dozens of protestors, some of them Jewish, tell us nothing about everyone you would consider “pro-Palestinian,” including, I suppose, anyone with concerns about the corrupt government of Israel and their actions in Gaza.

Refusal to refer to someone as they would prefer to be referred to is not “freedom of speech.” It is just being an asshole.

The original was filmed in my hometown, Phoenixville,PA. The movie theater is still open and holds a Blobfest every year that culminates in everyone running from the theater out onto Bridge Street.

I cannot come up with a more apt symbolic image for the Trump Administration.

All of our rights have constraints. That’s what makes us free within a society. In a society, your unrestricted freedom imposes unfair constraints on the freedom of those around you.

That’s my Rep! (The one with her back to us, not the one with the stupid smirk.)
