Last week when Elon was talking about Thanksgiving plans with Jacob in the police station, he mentioned the third Hawthorne brother working for the Detroit Police Department. Which reminds me, Y&R also has an in-universe Detroit connection #beyondthegates
As a fellow Detroit-er (via suburbs and moved away 20 years ago but the soul still burns) and BtG fan, I need to know about this linkage.

I became an author on this date 10 years ago with my first book, “How to Live in Detroit Without Being a Jackass,” which put me on a trajectory I never could have imagined. Still got a lot more to say but the original message is still relevant — something else I couldn’t have predicted 10 years ago.

I have this vivid memory of telling my grandmother to buy the “Brown Sugar” album for my mom’s birthday at the time. We did not know there was a song called Shit Damn Motherfucker on it until she opened it. My grandmother was like “what did you have me in the store buying?” 😂
