I barely ever use Reddit, but I ended up there, saw I had a message, and it was notifying me I was permanently banned from the r/Classical_Liberals reddit, which I vaguely remember reading once, and it was kind of moderate libertarianism. But it looks to now have been taken over by the far-right?

A few weeks ago, my daughter and I watched both Blade Runners, which are my favorite movies. I remarked that Roger Deakins made every shot in 2049 look like a painting, so for Christmas, my daughter painted one for me.

My advice when engaging intellectually with politics is that if you're going to have a strong opinion about a particular ideology, or a whole constellation of them, you put in the work to make it at least a minimally informed one.
