The reason we were able to avoid falling off a cliff after the trade is that with LaRavia, Lyles, Ellis, Jonas on the bench, we had enough surefire guys that we could occasionally stumble into winning lineups. Now add Sochan and Vassell, that group seems solid.

I think so too but I think a lot about the first game after the trade before Lavine joined where we won in Minny with Monk, Ellis, Demar, Keegan, and Sabonis as the starting 5. I still think we win about 40 games with that starting group and a deep bench.

The idea that *gestures wildly* this is somehow better than getting players who can actually fill roles who might not have as much pedigree aggravated me.
