I'm sorry but a 6 months fixed-term lectureship that includes research, teaching and scholarship and has responsibilities including designing and developing courses, teaching materials and curriculum proposals, income generation, and strategic future orientated planning is absolutely wrong ARU. 1/

I'm in the hotel lobby killing time before my flight and this guy has been staring and smiling for hours.
It's not that I don't realise it's a cardboard cutout, but I'm tired, sick and drifting in and out of sleep so I forget each time I am woken up.

Yes, AI can be used to radicalise, spread misinformation and disinformation, but policy and power matter more. Also, don't use AI for a synopsis of films when writing essays or renting.

In my neighborhood. Red paint & property damage at the taxpayer's expense is designated terrorism in some cases & legitimate in others. The politics of this 'double standard' is consistent though: genocide & fascism are acceptable & opposition to them, like migration, is a threat to the nation.

You can support racism, fascism and genocide, but not oppose them. That causes outrage, bans and criminal investigations, instead of an endorsement in a major establishment broadsheet - despite the 2024 far right riots. That's where we are.
