Many people have an idea that they can evaluate young QBs. They can't. They try to, but fail. JJ will either fail or succeed no one can tell, yet. But a young drafted QB is the best way to win a Super Bowl.

They call it the Purple Scare. Secret Cousinists within the NFL.

Evaluating QBs is fun and can provide insights but none of it matters. Humans are too biased, the position is too difficult, it's a team game, these are all true. Winning a super bowl is the only metric. One thing is true, a young, cheap QB allows other investments. That is real world analysis.

Tom Brady? The GOAT was a flyer. Brett Farve. Aaron Rodgers. Patrick Mahomes. All not # 1's. ~4% of big games have been won by #1 QBs. Analysis fails in this position, in this game. I think its because Tyson was right about plans and a punch in the face.

I just think you have a good column but that there is no measurement for the success of a drafted quarterback. Undeveloped QBs are cheap. Does your chart offset cost versus future return? No. The Vikings are not winners. Accept that. Risks will need to be made.

Does it matter? No. We need to build a leader and a QB. Things you can't measure. Trust KOC. Stop this anti-McCarthyism. Go analyze Scott Scheffler's foot work.
