If you see one this week, you’re looking at a traveler about to cross an ocean. Have you spotted a Blackpoll Warbler this fall migration?
aba.org
Look for them in woodland edges, thickets, and coastal scrub. Late September is peak time as they stage and fatten up.
Amazingly, before migration, a Blackpoll can nearly double its body mass in fat reserves.
