We used to watch this every year!

I'm saddened by the news. Beaverton is proud to have been his home in later years. Seems like all of Portland was following him, especially his trip to Pearl Harbor a few years ago.

Yes, I have vivid memories being at the cinema in Medford! We saw this movie on Christmas Day, 1978. Uncle Ernie took both families as his Christmas gift to us (because he wanted to see the it!). I shared this with our cousins and they don't remember at all!

had the privilege of sitting at the controls in Stax Studio, Memphis, where he produced and played guitar on "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" with Otis Redding. Green Onions, Soul Man, so many other great hits! He left his musical mark on our generation.
