Just watched Possession (1981) this movie goes from uncomfortable domestic drama to, wait...what the hell is that?! What's going on? I kind of need all of my friends to experience this now

so I finally got around to watching Smile 2, while I still think the first one is better, this is still a fun horror flick, with a great performance from Naomi Scott, also between this and Companion I'm liking Lukas Gage in horror as well

@charalanahzard.bsky.social watching the new moviehaus and I want to recommend a movie called Azrael, for two reasons 1. I think it's great, and 2. Like weapons it really doesn't explain anything, and I'm curious how everyone would feel about that. It seems like a love it or hate it movie

So I just watched Gummo, and honestly, I'm not sure if I even have thoughts yet...hard to explain (if you've seen it I think you'll understand this)
August 29, 2025 at 11:46 PM
Finally watched Wild at Heart (1990) and had a blast, wild, fun and a little insane. Basically it's exactly what you want from David Lynch

Super late to the party, but I finally finished metal gear solid 2 yesterday, and while it is a great game, the gameplay to cutscene ratio in the third act is insane. Sometimes it feels like 10 minutes of gameplay followed by 30 minutes of cutscenes.

So I finally watched Presence (2024) the other day. I quite enjoyed it, even if I wouldn't really call it horror, but it did end up going somewhere I didn't anticipate, and I'll always appreciate that in a movie
June 24, 2025 at 5:12 PM
so I finally finished Expedition 33, (there's still optional stuff I'm going to go back and do still) but this game is fantastic, it really deserves all of the hype

At the end of Final Destination: Bloodlines, when the "in memory of Tony Todd" came on screen, I heard a man behind me say "so that was his last movie, I wonder when they filmed this?" And a woman sitting in front of me said "before he died" shout out to that lady, that seriously made my night
May 16, 2025 at 2:28 AM
just got back from seeing the premier of Wolf Moon Rising, it's super low budget yes...but it's also very entertaining, a great pick to watch with some friends
May 10, 2025 at 5:48 AM
Claire Obscure: Expedition 33, is everything I could have hoped for turn based RPG's to become. As someone who loved Final Fantasy on the PS1, and has fond memories of Legend of Dragoon, I'm feeling right at home with this one
April 28, 2025 at 2:49 AM
I may be a week late, but I finally watched Sinners tonight, it's a great movie, with tons of intrigue well before the vampires show up, though I wish the trailers hadn't given it away as a vampire movie. Structurally it's similar to From Dusk til Dawn, which I have no problems with at all
April 26, 2025 at 2:58 AM
just started played Blue Prince a little over an hour ago, and I can see how this game would get addicting, there's a lot of "just one more run" going on here
April 16, 2025 at 1:43 AM
so I finished South of Midnight tonight, I really enjoyed this game, beautiful art style, and a pretty good story with very solid (albeit very standard) action/adventure gameplay. this is a fantastic base for a potential sequel and I hope Compulsion gets the chance to make it
April 15, 2025 at 3:13 AM
So I finally watched Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. It's masterfully made, there are no winners, heroes or villains, just people desperately trying to protect/avenge their loved ones, and the futility of the best laid plans
April 5, 2025 at 3:12 PM
so I just watched Old Wounds via Panic Fest virtual and this was a pretty solid found footage flick. I have a few gripes, but it's worth a watch over all

The Ugly Stepsister may have had the absolute best audience reactions of any film I saw at Panic Fest this year
April 3, 2025 at 4:07 AM
I'm of two minds on the Switch 2 direct. on one hand there's a decent launch line up and I love that they're finally recognizing the Gamecube era. on the other hand the consistent paid upgrades for previous gen games, along with assumed lack of compatibility for og switch accessories is frustrating
April 2, 2025 at 5:02 PM
occasionally thinking back on this absolute master-class in Japanese horror
April 1, 2025 at 5:29 AM
yet another Panic Fest update, 40 Acres is the standout of the night for sure, but also one of the best of the festival so far. it's a post apocalypse thriller that simply does not let up, highly recommended!
April 1, 2025 at 5:01 AM
Panic Fest 2025: I just watched The Lost Episode, a very solid found footage horror flick. it does take quite a while for the scares to come, but ultimately is worth a watch.
March 31, 2025 at 7:50 PM
Today at Panic fest I watched both Dooba Dooba, and She Loved Blossoms More. These are the two most difficult to describe of all the movies of the fest so far...I don't know what to say yet
March 31, 2025 at 5:09 AM
More panic fest updates:
Freaky Tales is a blast.
Marshmallow is a great twist on summer camp horror flick
Touch Me, is just wild and something you kind of have to experience for yourself
March 30, 2025 at 4:38 AM
Panic Fest night two: I caught It Feeds which is a perfectly solid supernatural horror flick, with excellent creature design, and a few interesting ideas to help make it stand out. I also caught Don't Let the Cat Out, a fun horror/comedy that's premise alone makes it worth checking out
