This is true, but the idea that they will be ‘plunged into poverty’ is al what this partially disputes with that whopping 40% stat there.
It does also show our cultural view towards land lording as the ‘one safe investment’ and that perhaps pushing that is the real evil here,not pushing for reform

More of these surveys, whee the results are very publicly shown will drive home that many ideas for tenancy overhaul eg rent controls will not be plunging thousands of (semi-)retired couples who are landlords into poverty, a common refrain of landlord groups when these measures are pushed

Whoop whoop! I went through a similar ‘fuck I need to advocate for myself’ thing for the same reasons this year to get listened to medically and it’s so liberating! If anything feels uncomfortable just tell them, don’t let them dismiss you! ❤️🥳

It makes me so sad when I know they’ve been there a while. I know with complex medical issues it can take a while to rehome because of practical issues but with others I always feel it just breaks my heart to not be able to find a logical reason why someone wouldn’t want that cat :(

Other than trying a gentle, really slow switch over of food to something make for a sensitive tum and perhaps has low/no grains I’d recommend a trip to the vets if possible

Hey could it be grains? My mum’s cat is an I door cat who came to her as a semi feral kitten who at 7yo has just started having problems digesting grains

My dad did a UK version of this not long before he died (not of cancer but a heart attack), to teach his own high school class while raising money for a good cause, I live to see more people doing this ❤️
