I just booked my annual mammogram yesterday here in BC. Dec 6 was the earliest I could book. Mom and sister both died from it so I make sure to book it. Been doing them for 30+ years now. So far, so good. 😊
Very surprised at only 15% 😕

Except that it precedes winter. Although I have to say that life is too short to throw away any day/week/season. Gotta love them all with all their quirks

Just walked around a park with a big pond here before the rain event begins. Spotted lovely red maples like the ones we’ve always loved back east. We were there last month and it was gorgeous. Happy mooring for the next 24hrs or so. 😊

Ugh. Dental work. Hubs has had 3 implants done separately. Doc is ENT MD who went on to be an oral surgeon. Overkill but he’s great. Waited 6 months after bovine grafts to do posts and finally the implant. Quite the ordeal. I hope things settle for you soon.

Killing bugs and taking lids off jars 😉. Had a huge spider on the bedroom wall 2 days ago. Hubs got it. 😱 i would have just burned the house down if i was alone. 🤷‍♀️ Nothing less would have sufficed.

We spent a wk in Cornwall last month. In ‘95 hubs reconnected with a couple who ran a BnB he stayed at in ‘74 in Mousehole. Lost track of them a while back but found her again! She’s a widow, 84 yo and has been emailing with him like a long lost son. She’s a firecracker and a delight. Funtimes!

Think of you often. Sending healing vibes but not sure that really helps. ❤️. Wish I could help more. I hope there are family/friends close by. Hugs (they help a lot!). 😊🫂

Maybe it’s a bit early but have you heard of Anderson Cooper’s podcast ‘All There Is’? It’s him interviewing people about how they are processing their grief. I’ve found it a very gentle and comforting pod to listen to. ❤️

That’s the caring that goes beyond the learning and skills of nurses that’s so essential for good health care. I’m glad you had good people looking after you both. The holistic approach to caring for people is so important.

I can remember certain patients/families from when I started nursing and I bet lots of nurses will remember you both. The awful disease, the speed of it all & your relationship will remain in their minds forever. I remember people from 40 yrs ago. V & you will be those people for others ❤️

That’s such an aggressive cancer. I’m glad you both had options and could make a humane choice. So much courage and dignity shown by both of you. Enjoy the change in the weather. Kind of fits the scenario ❤️

Grief comes in waves but you know all about waves and taking them straight on. Glad you have your support crew. Thinking a lot about you and yours. ❤️

I’m so very sorry. A hard fight but all not lost. I literally just joined Bluesky based on your post. Twitter getting unbearable. I have missed your posts. Sending love and hope.
