This is why I prefer the SkyhubLink system over any other repeater system in Colorado. Also, most of their repeaters are analog and you can connect to them easily with a ham radio hotspot.

Tomorrow morning (Feb 19th) is going to be brutal! Ambient temperatures could get as low as -20° in the northeastern corner of the state. With wind chills as low as -35°. Make sure you wear many layers. I'd expect more school closures tomorrow.

An ice storm is possible Wednesday into Thursday for the southern Great Lakes Region & the central Appalachian Mountains (centered near southern PA & western MD). With ice up to 0.40 inches in the mountains of Pennsylvania & Maryland. Up to 0.25 inches is possible in other areas like Ohio.

I'll finally get my Allstar node from a friend in Wray, CO this week. It's similar to this but uses a Raspberry Pie 3 & one Baofeng BF-888 with an external antenna. It will be a way for me to stay connected to the Denver SkyhubLink Severe Weather Room from anywhere in Colorado.

Craziness going on in the southern United States along the Gulf of Mexico! Winter Storm Warnings from far southern Texas all the way to the border of North Carolina & Virginia. Blizzard Warnings for the Lake Charles, LA area and a small part of eastern Texas. This is just insane to see.

The wildfires in California are continuing to burn with very little containment. Southwestern California is in a Red Flag Warning through Wednesday and winds sustained between 30-50 mph and gusts between 50-70 mph. This is a Particular Dangerous Situation (PDS).
