He described the break between Canada and the US as a rupture when he launched his campaign last winter to become Liberal Party leader. It was jarring for the first few weeks. Canadians no longer doubt his ambition for Canada. He believed in public service. He gave up Wall St for this job.

This speech builds on the speech he gave when he was running to replace Trudeau as leader of the Liberal Party and PM. He said he wanted to make Canada an energy superpower and have the best economy in the G7. He is making Canada a world leader.

I agree. Carney spent his 2nd day as PM in Nunavut. He announced the purchase of $4 billion over the horizon radar system for the Arctic. He announced expanding bases and training in the Arctic. The government is working with the indigenous people living and governing the 3 Arctic territories.
