(3/2) There is absolutely no reason for them to have their own APCs, (semi)automatic rifles, grenades, chemical weapons, prison complexes, sonic weaponary, etc. They should be out there with windbreakers and valid paperwork.

(1/2) if they find infractions, they should get a warrant from a judge and turn that over to the FBI, State Police, Constables, or Sheriffs to enforce. ICE as it currently stands shouldn't exist at all. They shouldn't be the enforcement, judge, jury, and executioners all in one.

Reminds me of the Fetterman vs Dr. Oz battle here in PA. Was Fetterman the perfect liberal candidate? Far from it. But he's who we ended up with and it was an "anyone but Oz" scenario. I don't live in Texas, but from what I've seen from the outside, Crockett's upside far outweighs her downsides

I backed the last inveterate shitposter and volunteered for his campaign. I don't feel "icky" about it, because he STILL beats the alternative that is Dr. Oz, but I hope you don't end up like Fetterman once in office. It's almost worse to have hope ripped away than to never have it at all.

3 months? In most of the country you can win an election (sheriff and constable) or just be deputized with absolutely *0* required training. Only a few states have requirements for local cops. State police is a bit more strict, but not always.
