5. Find Community Support

Support groups, both online and in-person, can help you feel less isolated and give you resources, tips, and a social connection with people who understand your experience.
November 22, 2025 at 8:14 PM
4. Don’t Compare to Others

People with gastroparesis or IBD have individual journeys, so comparing symptoms, treatments, or eating plans with others can lead to frustration.
November 22, 2025 at 8:14 PM
3. Prioritize Quality of Life

It’s okay to advocate for symptom management, like treating nausea, even without a diagnosis. Medications, lifestyle support, or nutritional advice can make a big difference in symptoms.
November 22, 2025 at 8:14 PM
2. Recognizing Overlapping Symptoms

Gastroparesis, other motility disorders, and IBD have similar symptoms. If your symptoms aren’t explained by your diagnosis, talk to your team about other potential causes.
November 22, 2025 at 8:14 PM
1. Advocating for Yourself

If you’re not being heard, seek another opinion. You deserve to be taken seriously and to find providers who listens to your concerns.

Combine breathwork with a focus on diet. Consider working with a practitioner to get specific advice.
July 10, 2025 at 3:13 PM
Tip 4
📅 Frequency Matters
Begin with breathwork sessions every 3-4 weeks. As you learn techniques, practice short sessions at home daily!
July 10, 2025 at 3:13 PM
Tip 3
🌿 Listen to Your Body
Pay attention to how you feel after breathwork. Emotional releases are normal, so allow yourself time to process.
July 10, 2025 at 3:13 PM
Tip 2
🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 Find the Right Facilitator
Choose a breathwork facilitator who creates a safe space. Trust your instincts—if it doesn’t feel right, keep looking.
July 10, 2025 at 3:13 PM
Tip 1
🧘🏼 Start Simple
Try box breathing: Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. Repeat to calm your
