I’m shocked that Adams is a Kaiser member. Kaiser is as close as we have to single payer medicine in the US. The quality is high and bureaucracy is low but it’s hard to get care outside of their rules. Medicare is even more strict. No unapproved treatments.

NYT fact-checks on the most trivial things. I sent in a question to the Ethicist and a fact-checker called. I asked for the question to be Name Withheld so who cares about the facts of my neighborhood dilemma? Strange priorities—not checking news but checking advice column.
