You could also roast them *and put the roasted ones in a salad*. <insert the "WHY NOT BOTH?" gif here>

Oh, I am jealous. And hungry. Please eat some strudel or something for dessert just to perfect my rage at missing your meal (there should be a long German noun for that).

No one can be normal on FB; it's just not possible. Congrats once again on your lovely wedding and beautiful photos!

Is it even going to make it to 2030? Really?

Tell me I didn't just fcking see that

OMG it's so cute! I have already been envying you the scotch egg, and now little knitted things have sprung up at the market...I may die of Anglophilic overwhelm!

I envy you these cathedral tours! I collect cope chests, so if you see a good one, grab a pic for me...

Hope you have a mask! There's no way I'd fly w/o one in these days of plague. Covid is far from "over", and people are disgusting. Best of luck!

Some of us women of different colors have also been paying attention and are also tired. I am 48 and this is the America I have known all my life. You're so right about performative ignorance and it wears me out.

If it really had bells on, Irish hecklers would call it "Jingles" for the rest of its life. "On Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer and Vixen!" they would chorus every time it stood up to buy another pint.

I can't even stand to read it, I'm so nauseated (yes, I'm American), but I wonder if they're going to say that it inspired the French Rev & thus others? When in fact the French helped the Am Rev happen. Blech.

Another use in song lyrics: "I wish I were homeward bound [but I'm not]". Highly useful and meaningful.

It's the useful contrary-to-fact subjunctive. Students love it. "If I were you" WHICH I'M NOT. Explain it that way & they eat it up.

A deer ran into my mother once on a 4-lane hwy. Mother was going 55 mph and the deer just ran into her on the driver's side. Broke door & shattered window. Deer have very small brains.

They were -- large and dangerous to the mother. Not quite born with teeth, but next to it. God, she was brilliant.

I laughed out loud. That little shocked face!

The utter hypocrisy of him talking about feeding the hungry when he has cleared homeless encampments may and should destroy him. But I fear what you do -- he is slick and can talk well.
