I'm increasingly concerned that we're expected to interact with the #health system via our various screens, but providers show little understanding of #a11y. Giving feedback is problematic because there is little understanding of the meaning of #accessibility, and no obvious channels for feedback.

That is really sad news.

An important opportunity for #Deaf and #disabled #artists in different fields from Welly and thereabouts. A very worthwhile opportunity. Go for it! toiponeke.nz/ddeaf-andor-... #arts #theatre #writers #disability #disabilityarts

someone with a strong sense of irony perhaps? Image. A set of steps with a neatly painted access logo.

Tks. Personal essay collection. Working on it too long but having a difficult year.

On a less grumpy note, I have actually spent most of the day #writing. Yay! I've been struggling for ages, and especially with this particular piece. It may all be crap but still... #amwriting

I think this Welly weather is making me grumpy. Why do we have to hear so much on RNZ about an assassinated American no one had heard of five minutes ago? (Rhetorical question.) I turn it off in protest.

I just don't understand their logic on this.

Interesting. We need more #books from #disabled adults for disabled #children, but I wish RNZ Saturday Morning would interview our own disabled #writers. www.rnz.co.nz/national/pro... #disability #writing #CriptheLit

Such a thoughtful piece, thank you. I always remember. Some of my family were near the epicentre

It annoys me so much that RNZ news insists on talking about carers and families, as if no disabled adults have agency or control.

Interested in what those who are affected think. As usual RNZ News interviewed a service provider rather than a #disabled people's organisation. The CCS Disability Action spokesperson was positive. On the surface at least it looks better than last year's changes. www.beehive.govt.nz/release/impr...
