If you’re talking about HIV and not including U=U, you’re doing it wrong.

U=U is the truth that ends stigma and defines the HIV response today. Treatment keeps us alive and prevents HIV. Anything less leaves the story incomplete.

After my lab work I stopped for groceries. The cashier asked what my U=U shirt meant. I explained that if someone living with HIV is on effective treatment and undetectable they cannot transmit the virus sexually. She said, “that’s really cool! I had no idea.”

U=U was mentioned at #IAS2025 but never centered. The most powerful tool we have to disrupt HIV stigma remained on the margins.
