One of the largest swifts in the world. Alpine Swifts can reach 22cm long and with a wingspan of up to 60 cm. This was one of five seen in Monfrague National Park in Extremadura, Spain, on my recent trip leading for Naturetrek Group and Tailormade Wildlife Holidays
