Super double pinky swear! A few things I've utterly loved recently: Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman, Dietland by Sarai Walker (I have her followup, but haven't read it yet), and Shrill by Lindy West. I've got Song of Achilles and Circe in the TBR pile, too.

I got a new phone this week and I swear, half my Google searches have been "how to turn off this other annoying Google AI feature I just discovered" in the days since.

The beneficiary is a personal friend of several years.

What's getting me is the people where it's like, "We told you. We told you for more than a decade. You refused to hear anything that wasn't an echo chamber of your own shitty views." and their response is effectively, "Well, I didn't think it would affect ME."
